How we Began....
Opened by the Mayor of Wellington in July 2009. Our nursery is a family run nursery owned by Graham and supported by his wife Jacqui.
When converting our bungalow into a nursery we have tried to create a place that is homely and welcoming to all, helping our children to feel happy, secure and ready to explore and make great bonds with others.
The Nursery is situated in an open plan Bungalow set in a large, private and completely secure garden. Offering easy access to J26 on the M5.
'Is to provide exceptional care, learning, development and
protection for children, as set out in the EYFS. We create a nurturing
environment, providing stimulating child led experiences, based on the child’s
individual needs and wants. Using a wide range of exciting activities, free
play and resources. Supporting each child to achieve and enable them to realize their full potential in later life.'

The team are chosen not only for their dedication, experience and qualifications, but for their individual and enthusiastic personalities. They are devoted to upholding the highest standards of care, learning and development.
We use a Key Person system to ensure that you and your child have a contact person at the nursery. The Key Person will build a close working relationship with your child to help them feel safe and secure. Staff are provided with ongoing training, enabling them to be current and knowledgeable.
We have Two Rooms within our nursery:
The Baby Room: 3 months - 2 years
The Main Room: 2 years - 4 years
We like to involve those in our community around us on events and extra activities with the children. Just a snippet of who has been involved in our journey with the children, their families and the community this year is:
- Music with Mummies' holding musical sessions for both rooms.
- We invited parents to come and join in with Parent First Aid sessions
- We take part in 'Wellington in Bloom' encouraging the children to help plant and grow their own fruits and vegetables for them to eat, even winning a Gold certificate!
- We welcome charitable organisations and encourage raising money for good causes such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Children in Need, Alzheimer's Society, Young Minds and Save the Children.
- We take part in National Libraries week and have had parents themselves come to read to the children which of course the children loved.
7.45am - 6pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year.
We close for Bank Holidays, at 2pm on Christmas Eve followed by a week for Christmas.
We are registered and inspected by the 'Office For Standards in Education' and governed by the 'Early Years Foundation Stage Framework'

Early Years Grants...
We are registered with the Local Education Authority (L.E.A.) and receive funding for education from the term following your child's 3rd birthday. We also accept placements for those who qualify for 2 Year old funding.
Grant amounts will be deducted from your Nursery fees and will be stretched over 51 weeks so a regular monthly deduction is made. Please note that there is a consumables charge for children in receipt of funding.
For more information on funding please visit-
We also offer 30 hours extended funding spaces. For more information on this then please visit-
Our policies can be found in the nursery reception, if you would like a copy please ask and we will be happy to provide this for you.
Settling your child...
We understand that the transition from home to nursery can be a significant step for you and your child. In order to make your early days go as smoothly as possible we offer free 'play & stay' sessions, designed to allow your child, as well as you, a chance to get to know the staff that will care for your child and enable you both to meet the other children and staff.
The Nursery manager will arrange these sessions with you once you have made the decision to place your child with us. Our staff will be happy to give advice on preparing your child for nursery whilst they are still at home.
